Jewellery Care Guide
Our jewellery is handcrafted carefully by professionals and should be handled with equal amounts of love and respect. Our jewellery is made of precious metals and gems, which can be delicate and easily damaged. Proper care and maintenance will help ensure that your jewellery ages with grace and maintains its value. Here are well intended reminder and tips:
-
Remove jewellery while washing hands to avoid contact with corrosive products that can permanently damage precious metals, stones and pearls.
-
Wear your jewellery at the very end to ensure minimal contact with make-up, hair products and fragrances, as they contain chemicals which can cause tarnishing.
-
Keep your jewellery away from intense sources of heat and extreme temperature changes.
-
Be sure to check all clasps and safety locks thoroughly while wearing your jewellery.
-
While storing chains, ensure they’re always clasped and laid out flat to avoid entangling.
-
In case you’re storing multiple items together, create separations between each item to avoid scratches and preserve precious stones.
-
Limit exposure to moisture by storing jewellery in a fabric-lined box. Velvet boxes are not preferable, especially for kundan and jadau jewellery.
-
Wipe your pearl jewellery with a soft cloth after wearing it as sweat can be damaging to pearls. Pearl necklaces, if stringed, should be re-strung regularly as the thread weakens over time.
